Happy 14th Birthday, dA!! Gosh, 7 years I've been here?  Where has all that time gone?  I started on dA when a friend of mine, WiseWanderer (https://www.deviantart.com/wisewanderer) introduced me and showed me his Fractal Art.  I joined, but for a few months I only looked around, at his artwork, and at so many other amazing artist's work.  I was pretty much blown away by the quality and amount of beautiful work here!  I was almost afraid to post my first piece, thinking it was nowhere near good enough to be here with the caliber of work I'd seen.  But I did. After today, I'll be away for a few weeks.  I'm going in for some much needed, long awaited surgery tomorrow.  I'm not looking forward to that part, but I am looking forward to the end result.  I'll be in hospital for up to a week, then off work for 6 weeks, but hopefully I'll be able to peek in here from time to time from my iPad while I'm recovering. In brighter news, I'm getting a puppy around mid-August :D I've been wanting an English Springer Spaniel for the past 16 years, but they're very hard to find here.  Well, I got lucky and found a lady who had a pregnant female, and they were born this past Friday.
