My dear friend Ros, who was in a horrific car crash [link] on October 12th, is back home and on the road to recovery
NBN News interviewed her at home last month: [link]
She mentioned that when she's well again she wants a tattoo of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter landing on a road, on her left shoulder, but she hadn't been able to find a photo of anything she liked, everything seemed to be the wrong angle, etc. I told her to leave it with me and I'd see what I could find for her.
So I made this...and she loves it and can't wait to get it inked Of course it will be a LOT smaller on her shoulder!
She has always been a strong supporter of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, being on the volunteer support committee here in Narrabri, but now even more so since it was a Westpack Rescue Helicpoter that brought paramedics to the scene and, when they finally freed her from her car, flew her to the nearest hospital. They took such good care of her that day, and since then she has received flowers, phone calls and lovely letters from them.
They really are a special group of people, and provide such an invaluable service to our communities. They are always in need of funding, so next time you see a Westpac Helicopter tin near a cash register in a shop (those of you who live in Australia), drop some spare change in it. You never know when you might need their service for yourself or someone you love! ----------------------------------------- Done with CorelDRAW X5
