Thief?
He stole my heart with his words,
He took my breath away with his touch,
He captured my soul with a mere look,
He robbed me of my life,
Pilfered my very existence.
But wait...
Should I call him a theif?
Can one steal what is so willingly given?
I gave him my heart, to hold carefully next to his.
I yielded my breath, to mingle with his in return.
I surrendered my soul, to dance amongst the stars with his.
I handed him my life, my very existence...
Because without him, mine would be nothing.
No...not a thief at all.
He stole my heart with his words,
He took my breath away with his touch,
He captured my soul with a mere look,
He robbed me of my life,
Pilfered my very existence.
But wait...
Should I call him a theif?

Because without him, mine would be nothing.
No...not a thief at all.

Wow... a nice mix of contrasting feelings, a nice twist in the tale. The word "thief" has negative connotations, but then the second verse turns it all around. A contrast always makes you think...
