Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.
I know this is a no-duh for 90% of people reading it but for the sake of the rest lets revise what we all should know about online phishig. And before you go all:

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

What I personally find the hardest to draw is feet and hands. I found that with a lot of practice and a lot of frustrating mistakes my feet and hands actually look at the very least almost the way i want them to be.
Now my favorite Style of drawing is Anime or sometimes semi-realism, and i find that by doing studies of the more traditional style realism actually helps improve my anime pictures greatly. For instance i would practice drawing my hands and feet in different positions holding different things and from different angles. I also find it extremely helpful while i'm drawing and i'm having a particularly hard time drawing a hand or a foot in a certain position i will stop for a

Sta.sh? Project Educate Vector Update! More!

Happy Saturday!! Well, it's Saturday here, Saturday evening in fact, so it must be Saturday for the rest of the world by now

It's storming here and we've already lost power a couple of times today. My husband and I live 20 kilometres from the nearest town, and anytime there's more than a light breeze blowing, we seem to end up with no power...luckily today it's only gone off for a few minutes at a time, but I still want to get this done before it goes out again

So here we go...on with the news!

Project Educate - Vector Week Dates!!
I've finally confirmed the Vector Week dates for Project Educate!

We'll be having our awesome week from February 13, 2012 - February 19, 2012!
Along with `ChewedKandi, we're putting together some great events for this Fully Scaleable week of Vector Awesomeness!! But we would still LOVE to hear your thoughts and ideas! I'm throwing around some major contest ideas, but would also like to hear what YOU would want in a contest, so drop me a note and give me your thoughts

What is this Sta.sh Writer all about and how on earth do I use it?!
Yesterday, dA launched it's newest feature for dA, the Sta.sh Writer, which lets us write literature or journals SO much easier than before!! For those of you scared of change, or a little bit mad that dA has changed things again, never fear!! I think once you use this new feature a few times you'll fall in love with it

Not only does the Sta.sh Writer make things so much faster and easier, with an interface similar to many word processing softwares, you can also customise your journals more than ever!
With just a click of your mouse, you can BOLD, underline and italicise your type without needing all those messy codes! This feature alone makes it wonderful to me

You can save as you go! Perfect for those stormy weather days where you think you might lose power! lol
You can also customise your thumbnails, again without needing to remember all those messy codes!
Images are now able to be seen as thumbs or as full size, or any size in between by clicking on the image and grabbing the handles to drag it to the desired size!

HOW COOL IS THAT?!?

If all this Sta.sh stuff leaves you flustered and confused, don't worry, you'll get the hang of it, and there's an awesome little tutorial for it all!

SUGGESTING DDs TO ME!
I've been getting some really awesome suggestions for Vector DDs, thank you everyone, and please keep them coming!!
I just wanted to bring up a little topic that seems to have upset a couple of people lately, so that there isn't any confusion as to what I will and will not feature as a Vector DD. I've covered most of this in a previous journal, so I won't take up too much of your time, but one thing I haven't covered, and that is that I won't feature Vexel work. As wonderful as a lot of it is, and very deserving of DDs, I'm in charge of the Vector gallery, and only the Vector gallery. Currently there is an opening for a Vexel CV, so if you're interested, please fill out an application! There are a few openings for different galleries, and you can click on the 'Want to Volunteer' tab on the left side of this journal to find out what those openings are, and you can also see a list of all the current CVs and which galleries they are in charge of

SO...until the position of Vexel CV is filled with someone, please send Vexel DD Suggestions to the CVs in charge of the Digital Art Galleries, and those people are: Atramina, ^Syrilla, & ^alicexz
